Position: Test Analyst – Manual Testing

Job Overview: Collabera Digital is currently seeking a skilled Test Analyst with expertise in Manual Testing to join our team. As a Test Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to perform manual testing activities, including test planning, test case development, execution, and defect management. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality software and has a strong understanding of manual testing methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand software requirements and create test plans.
  • Design and develop comprehensive manual test cases based on software requirements, ensuring full coverage of functionalities and potential scenarios.
  • Execute manual test cases to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using a bug tracking system, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with the development team to reproduce and investigate reported defects, providing detailed information and supporting materials.
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure that software changes and bug fixes do not impact existing functionality.
  • Participate in test estimation, test strategy development, and test execution planning activities.
  • Continuously enhance and optimize the testing process by identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in manual testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Provide accurate and timely test reports, including test execution status, defect analysis, and overall quality metrics.
  • Contribute to the overall improvement of the software development lifecycle by providing feedback and suggestions based on testing observations and experiences.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in manual testing, preferably in the software development industry.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts for manual testing.
  • Solid experience in executing manual test cases and analyzing test results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking systems and defect management processes.
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycles and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and isolate software issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
