Responsibilities:
- Manual Software Testing:
- Conduct comprehensive manual testing of software applications to ensure quality and performance.
- Collaborate with the development team and stakeholders to understand project requirements and user stories.
- Exploratory Testing:
- Apply exploratory testing methodologies to discover defects, vulnerabilities, and user experience issues.
- Identify and execute ad-hoc test scenarios to uncover hidden defects.
- Language Expertise:
- Utilize fluency in either Japanese or Korean languages to validate software applications for specific language requirements.
- Verify that the software displays correctly and functions accurately in the target language.
- Test Case Development:
- Design, write, and maintain test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Create detailed test scenarios based on project specifications.
- Bug Reporting and Tracking:
- Identify, record, and document software defects accurately and efficiently.
- Track and communicate the status of reported defects to the development team.
- Regression Testing:
- Perform thorough regression testing to ensure resolved defects do not cause new issues.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in manual testing and quality assurance.
- Share knowledge and contribute to the improvement of testing processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in manual software testing with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
- Demonstrated expertise in exploratory testing methodologies and ad-hoc testing techniques.
- Fluent in either Japanese or Korean languages, with the ability to validate software in the target language.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meticulously uncover defects and issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically during testing.
- Familiarity with test case management tools and defect tracking systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
