Position: Lead QA Engineer Experience: 4+ years

Location: Mohali, Bangalore

Job Overview: GMware is currently hiring a Lead QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Lead QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will lead a team of QA engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams to implement efficient testing strategies. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced QA professional with strong expertise in API testing and proficiency in using tools like Postman.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of QA engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure efficient and effective testing processes.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality of our software products.
  • Conduct API testing using industry-standard methodologies and tools like Postman, ensuring the functionality, performance, and reliability of APIs.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and support, to understand software requirements and provide valuable insights from a QA perspective.
  • Design and implement test strategies and frameworks to streamline the testing process and improve overall product quality.
  • Monitor and track testing progress, analyze test results, and provide regular reports to stakeholders on the quality status of the software products.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug tracking system, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Continuously improve testing methodologies, processes, and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA team.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in API testing methodologies, and incorporate best practices into the testing process.
  • Collaborate with the product management team to ensure that customer requirements and expectations are met through thorough testing.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in QA best practices and provide technical guidance to the team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a QA Engineer, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Strong expertise in API testing, including designing test cases, executing tests, and validating API responses.
  • Proficiency in using API testing tools like Postman to conduct thorough API testing.
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience in leading and managing a team of QA engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and identify root causes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking systems and test management tools to document defects and track testing progress.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
