Position: Accessibility Tester

Location: Pan India

Job Description: LTI Mindtree is seeking an experienced Accessibility Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Accessibility testing and a good understanding of Web Content and Mobile Accessibility Standards and Laws. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive Accessibility testing of web and mobile applications, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level A/AA standards. Knowledge of WAI-ARIA, HTML, CSS, and assistive technologies is required. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform hands-on Accessibility testing of websites and mobile applications to ensure conformance to WCAG 2.1 Level A/AA standards.
  2. Develop and execute test strategies and plans for WAI-ARIA.
  3. Thoroughly understand W3C standards-compliant HTML and CSS.
  4. Utilize assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, Voice Over, and Talkback to conduct Accessibility testing.
  5. Conduct comprehensive Accessibility testing, including keyboard navigation, screen readers, and color contrast tools.
  6. Work with Developers and Product Owners to understand Accessibility requirements and implementation details.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce detailed Accessibility test strategies.
  8. Utilize online tools like Site Improve, Accessibility Scanner, Accessibility Inspector, and Mobile Web Accessibility Checker.
  9. Provide feedback and recommendations for improving Accessibility compliance.
  10. Perform manual testing, analyze test results, and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
  11. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills in identifying and resolving Accessibility issues.
  12. Stay updated with the latest Accessibility guidelines, standards, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  1. Must have 3 to 6 years of strong hands-on experience in Accessibility testing.
  2. Good understanding of Web Content and Mobile Accessibility Standards and Laws.
  3. Hands-on experience in testing websites for WCAG 2.1 Level A/AA conformance.
  4. Nice to have awareness of WCAG 2.2 future release guidelines.
  5. Proficient in understanding and authoring test strategies and plans for WAI-ARIA.
  6. Thorough understanding of W3C standards-compliant HTML and CSS.
  7. Knowledge of assistive technologies used for web browsing such as JAWS, NVDA, Voice Over, and Talkback.
  8. Proficient in carrying out comprehensive Accessibility testing of Web and Mobile applications.
  9. Working knowledge of online tools like Site Improve, Accessibility Scanner, Accessibility Inspector, and Mobile Web Accessibility Checker.
  10. Ability to work collaboratively with Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders.
  11. Strong manual testing skills and excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  12. Experience: 3 to 5 years.
  13. Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days.
