Position: Sr. Software Test Engineer Automation

Location: Bangalore

Required Skills:

• Testing of Cloud Hosted Applications and Customer-Facing Applications:
  • Experience in testing cloud-hosted applications and customer-facing applications.
  • Familiarity with the challenges and considerations specific to testing applications in a cloud environment.
• Payments Industry Experience (Desirable):
  • Knowledge or experience in the payments industry is desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding of the unique requirements and complexities involved in testing payment systems would be a plus.
• Thorough Understanding of SDLC:
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its various phases.
  • Apply this knowledge to effectively plan and execute testing activities throughout the development process.
• Excellent Technical Skills and Troubleshooting Abilities:
  • Demonstrate strong technical skills, including SQL, to effectively analyze and troubleshoot issues.
  • Apply problem-solving abilities to identify root causes and provide efficient solutions.
• Node.js/Javascript Experience or Relevant Language:
  • Experience with Node.js, Javascript, or other relevant programming languages.
  • Utilize these skills to automate testing tasks and enhance test efficiency.
• Extensive API Test Experience:
  • Possess extensive experience in testing APIs (Application Programming Interfaces).
  • Design and execute API test cases to validate functionality, performance, and integration.
• Web Automation Testing Experience (Preferred):
  • Experience in web automation testing is a plus.
  • Utilize automation frameworks and tools to design and execute web-based test scripts.
• Understanding of Gitlab/Github:
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Gitlab or Github.
  • Understand branching, merging, and code management within a collaborative development environment.
• Great Communication and Team Player:
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate a positive and collaborative attitude as a team player.
• Engineering Qualification in a Related Field:
  • Hold an engineering qualification in a related field, such as Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • Possess a solid foundation in engineering principles and practices.

Desirable:

• Experience in Projects within the Retail Petroleum Automation Sector/Payment Systems:
  • Experience working on projects related to retail petroleum automation or payment systems.
  • Familiarity with the specific requirements and challenges within these industries would be advantageous.
