Position: Automation QA Engineer

Location: Noida, India

Job Summary: UpDoer Technology is seeking a talented Automation QA Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our dynamic and growing team. The Automation QA Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in test automation frameworks, scripting languages, and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and project managers, to understand software requirements and develop effective test strategies.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard test automation frameworks.
• Execute automated tests to identify software defects and verify software functionality, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Perform manual testing when necessary to complement automated test coverage and identify edge cases or scenarios that require special attention.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to developers to improve code quality and testability.
• Investigate and analyze test failures, documenting and reporting defects in a clear and concise manner.
• Collaborate with the development team to reproduce, debug, and resolve identified defects.
• Monitor and maintain test environments, ensuring they are properly configured and up-to-date.
• Continuously research and evaluate new tools, technologies, and best practices in test automation to enhance the overall testing process.
• Contribute to the improvement of testing methodologies, processes, and standards within the organization.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Automation QA Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or similar tools.
• Experience in scripting languages like Python, Java, or Ruby.
• Solid understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git or SVN.
• Proficiency in using defect tracking tools, such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Experience in testing web applications, mobile applications (Android and iOS), and APIs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. However, equivalent work experience will also be considered.
