Position: Automation QA Engineer

Location: Technopark Trivandrum, Kerala

Job Summary: Skywalk Global is hiring an experienced Automation QA Engineer with 4-8 years of experience to join our dynamic and talented team. The Automation QA Engineer will be responsible for identifying and implementing effective test strategies, developing and executing automated tests, and ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in automation testing, including exposure to back-end/ETL testing, data analysis, and API and database testing.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and project managers, to understand software requirements and develop effective test strategies.
• Identify, design, and execute test cases and test scenarios based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Prepare test data and identify appropriate test data preparation techniques for different scenarios.
• Conduct back-end/ETL testing to validate data quality, perform data profiling, auditing, balancing, and reconciliation.
• Perform data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential data issues, and work towards their resolution.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard test automation frameworks, with a focus on automation testing using tools such as Selenium.
• Execute automated tests to identify software defects, verify software functionality, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Conduct API testing to validate API functionality, performance, and integration.
• Perform database testing to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Investigate and analyze test failures, documenting and reporting defects in a clear and concise manner.
• Collaborate with the development team to reproduce, debug, and resolve identified defects.
• Monitor and maintain test environments, ensuring they are properly configured and up-to-date.
• Continuously research and evaluate new tools, technologies, and best practices in test automation to enhance the overall testing process.
• Contribute to the improvement of testing methodologies, processes, and standards within the organization.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the QA team, as required.

Requirements:

• 4-8 years of experience as an Automation QA Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks, with expertise in automation testing using Selenium.
• Experience in back-end/ETL testing, data analysis, profiling, auditing, balancing, and reconciliation.
• Exposure to large data sets and understanding of data quality frameworks.
• Solid understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience in API testing and database testing.
• Proficiency in using tools and technologies for automation testing, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Postman, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with version control systems, such as Git or SVN.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Notice period of 30 days or less.
• Preference will be given to candidates based in Kerala.
