Position: Quality Engineer

Location: Hyderabad/Chennai/Bangalore

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to identify software defects, ensuring the functionality, usability, and performance of our software solutions.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of web-based applications and enterprise software solutions.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard test automation tools and frameworks.
• Conduct root cause analysis of issues discovered during testing and provide detailed defect reports to assist in the resolution process.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper test coverage, review design documents, and participate in design and code reviews.
• Continuously improve the QA process by implementing best practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency, reliability, and effectiveness.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in software testing to enhance your skills and contribute to the improvement of the QA team’s capabilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role, with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in manual testing techniques, test case design, test execution, and defect tracking.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, with the ability to develop and maintain automated test scripts.
• Sound knowledge of web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with databases and ability to write basic SQL queries for data validation.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, isolate, and reproduce software defects.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
