Position: Quality Analyst (Manual + Automation Testing)

Location: Mohali, Sector 67

SoftProdigy is a leading software development company seeking an experienced Quality Analyst to join our team in Mohali. As a Quality Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products through manual and automation testing. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the testing of mobile applications, websites, APIs, and more.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform manual and automation testing of software applications, including mobile apps, websites, and APIs.
• Conduct thorough testing to identify defects, bugs, and inconsistencies in the software.
• Develop and execute test cases and test scenarios to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of the software.
• Collaborate with the development team and other stakeholders to understand software requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
• Conduct compatibility testing to ensure the software works seamlessly across different devices, browsers, and platforms.
• Conduct design testing to evaluate the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of the software.
• Perform performance testing to assess the responsiveness and stability of the software under varying loads.
• Utilize tools like Postman to conduct API testing and validate the functionality and integration of APIs.
• Report and track defects using bug tracking tools, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution.
• Work closely with the development team to reproduce and troubleshoot issues, providing detailed information and insights.
• Participate in requirement analysis and contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in quality assurance and testing.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 2 to 4 years of experience in manual and automation testing.
• Proficiency in manual testing techniques and methodologies.
• Strong experience in mobile app testing, website testing, and API testing.
• Hands-on experience with automation testing tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of Postman or similar tools for API testing.
• Ability to write clear and comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.
• Familiarity with compatibility testing, design testing, and performance testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
