Position: QA Tester

Location: Hyderabad

Role and Responsibilities:

As a QA Tester at SkillOnTap, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, product, and engineering, to conduct manual and automation testing, both on the frontend and backend.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting manual and automation testing to validate the functionality and performance of software applications.
  • Writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Planning and coordinating testing activities to ensure timely and effective execution.
  • Thoroughly identifying and documenting bugs and issues, following established processes.
  • Advocating for modern QA best practices, including continuous testing and test automation.
  • Collaborating with teammates across different disciplines to drive the development of complex features from start to finish.
  • Taking ownership of features and areas of responsibility, demonstrating increasing scope, technical expertise, and leadership capabilities.
  • Providing thoughtful and constructive code reviews, contributing to a culture of mentorship and growth.
  • Advocating for modern engineering best practices and using metrics to measure and drive improvements.
  • Emphasizing learning and growth within the team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Demonstrating strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a QA Tester, with 3-5 years of experience in manual and automation testing.
  • Experience in the E-Commerce domain is preferred, specifically with OMS, WMS, or RMS.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test planning, and test case development.
  • Proficiency in both manual and automation testing, including frontend and backend testing, as well as API testing.
  • Familiarity with tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and document bugs effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow, embracing new technologies, best practices, and continuous improvement.
