Position: QA Manager

Location: Chennai (WFO)

Position Overview: FINAGG Technologies Private Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced QA Manager to join our dynamic Tech team. The QA Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the quality assurance process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products and services. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in leading a team of QA Engineers and possess strong technical skills in SQL, Postman, Agile, and Scrum methodologies. This is a full-time position based in Chennai (Work From Office), and the candidate must be available to join within a notice period of immediate to 30 days.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of QA Engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure efficient and effective delivery of QA activities.
  2. Quality Assurance Strategy: Develop and implement the overall quality assurance strategy, including test plans, processes, and methodologies to ensure high standards of product quality.
  3. Test Planning and Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Execute testing activities to ensure adherence to quality standards, product functionality, and performance requirements.
  4. Test Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation and oversee the development and implementation of automated test scripts using industry-standard tools.
  5. Defect Management: Implement defect tracking and resolution processes, ensuring timely identification, documentation, and resolution of defects. Monitor defect trends and work with the development team to improve product quality.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives for QA processes, tools, and methodologies. Identify areas of improvement and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA team.
  7. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Development, Product Management, and Project Management, to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the software development life cycle.
  8. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present comprehensive QA reports, including test results, defect analysis, and test coverage. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 8 to 10 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a managerial or team lead role.
  3. Strong technical skills in SQL, Postman, and test automation tools.
  4. Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  5. Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of leading and developing QA teams.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address quality issues proactively.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  8. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results within specified timelines.
  9. Experience in the financial or technology industry is a plus.
