Position: QA Functional Tester

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and translate them into comprehensive test cases.
• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts for various software applications and modules, with a focus on the Facets Communication System.
• Perform functional testing to validate the system’s behavior, ensuring that it meets the specified requirements and business objectives.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and issues using appropriate tools and methodologies.
• Conduct root cause analysis for identified defects and work closely with the development team to facilitate resolution.
• Maintain and update test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts, ensuring they reflect the most current software functionality.
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-up meetings.
• Collaborate with the QA team to establish and improve testing processes and methodologies.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in QA and software testing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a QA Functional Tester, specifically with expertise in Facets modules, especially the Communication System.
• In-depth knowledge of software testing concepts, methodologies, and tools.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in creating and executing test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts.
• Experience with defect tracking tools and familiarity with defect management processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies and concepts.
• Relevant certifications, such as ISTQB, are a plus.
