Position: QA Engineer

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka

Truecaller, a leading communication platform, is seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru. As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing. If you have 2-4 years of experience, possess excellent manual testing skills, and have expertise in tools such as JIRA, Postman, Charles Proxy, and have experience in mobile testing (primarily Android) with web testing as a plus, we invite you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive testing of software products, with a primary focus on mobile testing (Android) and manual testing.
• Utilize Issue & Project Tracking Software such as JIRA to track and manage defects, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution.
• Use tools like Postman, Charles Proxy, Firebase, or Crashlytics to enhance testing capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with the development team to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Perform web testing as a plus, ensuring compatibility and functionality across different web browsers.
• Demonstrate basic SQL knowledge to perform database testing and validation.
• Utilize ADB Commands for debugging and troubleshooting purposes.
• Exhibit excellent manual testing skills to identify defects, bugs, and usability issues.
• Experience testing in a medium or large-scale agile software development environment.
• Possess strong technical and troubleshooting skills to effectively identify and communicate issues to developers.
• Utilize programming experience to identify the causes of problems in the code base and communicate efficiently with developers.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience as a QA Engineer.
• Proficient in using Issue & Project Tracking Software, specifically JIRA.
• Experience with tools like Postman, Charles Proxy, Firebase, or Crashlytics.
• Strong expertise in mobile testing, primarily on the Android platform.
• Additional experience in web testing is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database testing and validation.
