Position: QA Engineer – Manual Testing

Locations: Ahmedabad, Chennai

Job Summary: UST Global, a leading global technology solutions company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Engineer with expertise in manual testing. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive manual testing. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design test cases, execute test plans, perform API and database testing, and ensure the functional accuracy of our applications. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute manual test cases and test scenarios to validate software functionality and performance.
• Conduct thorough functional testing to ensure the accuracy and integrity of software applications.
• Perform API testing to validate data communication and integration between different software components.
• Execute database testing to verify data integrity, data validation, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using a defect tracking tool and ensure timely resolution.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and effort allocation for different testing activities.
• Generate test reports, analyze test results, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, including test case design, test execution, and defect management.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in manual testing methodologies and tools.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures, following organizational policies and guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A post-graduate degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on manual testing.
• Strong knowledge and experience in API testing, database testing, and functional testing.
• Familiarity with different testing methodologies and test case design techniques.
• Proficiency in using defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
• Experience with test management tools and frameworks.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
• Experience with automation testing tools and scripting languages is a plus.
• ISTQB certification or other relevant certifications in software testing is desirable.
