Position: Peoplesoft Testing Professional

Location: Bangalore

Job Summary: Oracle, a global technology company, is currently seeking experienced Peoplesoft Testing Professionals to join our team in Bangalore. As a Peoplesoft Testing Professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Peoplesoft applications. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, performing functional and regression testing, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities:

• Design and develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Peoplesoft applications.
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing to ensure the accuracy and reliability of Peoplesoft software.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Execute test cases and analyze test results, identifying and documenting software defects using a defect tracking tool.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring timely resolution of defects.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and effort allocation for different testing activities.
• Conduct performance testing to evaluate system responsiveness, scalability, and stability.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in Peoplesoft testing.
• Provide test status updates and reports to stakeholders, highlighting any issues or risks.
• Collaborate with offshore teams, as required, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Adhere to quality standards and processes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Peoplesoft QA testing or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Peoplesoft applications and modules.
• Experience in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Peoplesoft applications.
• Proficiency in using defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
• Sound understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
• Familiarity with Peoplesoft functional modules, including HR, Finance, or Supply Chain.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
• Experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages is a plus.
• ISTQB certification or other relevant certifications in software testing is desirable.
