Position: Mobile Testing Engineer

Location: Gurgaon

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mobile applications.
  2. Conduct manual and automated testing on mobile devices, ensuring the functionality, usability, and performance of the applications.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, to understand requirements and provide testing insights.
  4. Perform regression testing to ensure that changes and enhancements do not impact existing functionalities.
  5. Utilize mobile testing frameworks and tools like Appium and Selenium to automate test cases and improve testing efficiency.
  6. Identify and report defects and issues using bug tracking tools, and collaborate with the development team to resolve them.
  7. Conduct exploratory testing to uncover potential usability and performance issues.
  8. Continuously update testing processes and strategies to align with industry best practices.
  9. Participate in product design reviews to provide feedback from a testing perspective.
  10. Collaborate with the QA team to establish and maintain quality standards across mobile applications.
  11. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in mobile testing techniques and tools.

Requirements:

  1. 2-8 years of experience in mobile testing.
  2. Strong expertise in mobile testing methodologies and techniques.
  3. Proficiency in using mobile testing tools like Appium and Selenium.
  4. Solid understanding of mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and their respective testing challenges.
  5. Familiarity with scripting languages like Java for test automation.
  6. Experience in manual testing of mobile applications, including functional, usability, and performance testing.
  7. Knowledge of bug tracking tools and experience in defect reporting and tracking.
  8. Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
  9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and isolate defects.
  10. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  11. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
