Position: Manual Test Engineer (Life/General Insurance)

Location: Mumbai (Ghatkopar)

Qualification: Graduate

Notice Period Required: Immediate to 30 days only

Interview Process: 2 technical rounds + HR round

Skills Required:

• In-depth understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
• Ability to prepare scenarios and derive test cases from them
• Proactive in test case execution, defect discussion, defect logging, risk identification, and mitigation
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries
• Hands-on experience with Test Management tools (e.g., Quality Center) and Defect Management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)
• Knowledge of databases and the ability to run basic SQL queries
• Familiarity with the Life Insurance Domain or General Insurance Domain

Job Responsibilities:

As a Manual Test Engineer specializing in Life/General Insurance, you will be responsible for the following:

1. Understand the project requirements and specifications related to Life/General Insurance.
2. Prepare detailed test scenarios based on the understanding of business processes.
3. Derive test cases from the test scenarios and ensure comprehensive coverage.
4. Execute test cases and document the test results, including defects, in a structured manner.
5. Discuss defects and issues with the development team for resolution.
6. Identify and mitigate risks associated with the testing process.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality of the software.
8. Write SQL queries to validate data and perform database testing.
9. Utilize Test Management tools (e.g., Quality Center) to organize and track test cases and test results.
10. Utilize Defect Management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) to log and track defects.
11. Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the testing process.
12. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in software testing.
