Position: Test Engineer (Manual & Automation)

Location: Trivandrum & Kochi

Job Summary: Schneide Solutions Pvt Ltd. is urgently seeking a skilled and experienced Test Engineer (Manual & Automation) to join our team. As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through both manual and automated testing. This position requires proficiency in manual and automation testing, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of web and mobile applications. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing to ensure the quality and performance of web and mobile applications.
• Identify and document software defects using bug tracking tools and collaborate with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
• Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Conduct root cause analysis of identified issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand project requirements and ensure proper test coverage.
• Stay up to date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and best practices to enhance the overall quality assurance process.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman and REST API testing frameworks.
• Perform load and performance testing using tools like JMeter.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain and improve automation frameworks and repositories.
• Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience as a Test Engineer with a focus on both manual and automation testing.
• Proficiency in web application testing and knowledge of mobile application testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and identify root causes.
• Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Maven, and GIT.
• Familiarity with REST API testing using tools like Postman and knowledge of API testing frameworks.
• Experience with load and performance testing using tools like JMeter.
• Strong programming skills in Java and knowledge of databases.
• Knowledge of different testing frameworks, version control systems, and repositories.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
