Position: QA Manual

Location: Chennai

Contract Duration: 7 months

Work Schedule: 5 days a week (Work from Office)

Artech, a leading global staffing and IT consulting company, is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the position of QA Manual. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with 0-2 years of experience to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our client projects.

Responsibilities:

As a QA Manual professional at Artech, you will be responsible for the following:

  1. Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications to ensure product quality and adherence to specified requirements.
  2. Develop and execute test cases, test scripts, and test plans based on project requirements.
  3. Identify, document, and track software defects using defect tracking tools, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues.
  4. Execute functional, regression, and integration tests to validate software functionality.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand project requirements and provide input on testability.
  6. Participate in test case reviews and provide feedback to enhance test coverage and effectiveness.
  7. Generate test reports and communicate test results to stakeholders, highlighting any risks or issues identified during testing.
  8. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process by identifying areas for improvement and suggesting process enhancements.
  9. Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in software testing and actively seek opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  1. Graduation or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 0-2 years of experience in manual software testing.
  3. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
  4. Familiarity with manual testing techniques and processes.
  5. Knowledge of defect tracking tools and experience in defect management.
  6. Basic understanding of programming concepts and experience with SQL.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  10. Flexibility to work from the office and readiness for face-to-face interviews.

Additional Information:

  • This is a 7-month contract position with Artech.
  • The work schedule is 5 days a week, with the expectation of working from the office.
  • The compensation for this role is 2.3 LPA.
