Position: Manual Tester

Notice Period: Maximum 30 days (preferably immediate)

Location: Noida, Sector 63

Role Summary: Recenturesoft is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Manual Tester to join our team. As a Manual Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web and mobile applications. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for software testing and a desire to kick-start their career in the dynamic field of software development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Arranging Test Environment: Set up the necessary test environment to execute test cases effectively. Ensure that all required software and hardware components are in place for testing activities.
  2. Conducting Review Meetings: Participate in review meetings to understand project requirements and collaborate with the development team to align testing strategies. Provide inputs on test coverage and potential risks.
  3. Analyzing and Executing Test Cases: Develop and execute manual test cases to validate the functionality, performance, and usability of web and mobile applications. Identify and document defects, issues, and inconsistencies encountered during testing.
  4. Defect Tracking: Utilize defect tracking tools to log and track issues found during testing. Follow up on the resolution of defects and verify fixes implemented by the development team.
  5. Communicating with Developers: Collaborate effectively with developers to provide clear and concise information regarding defects and issues. Participate in discussions to understand the root causes and work together to find optimal solutions.
  6. Creating Test Plans: Contribute to the creation of comprehensive test plans and test strategies. Identify test scenarios and design test cases to ensure maximum coverage of application features.
  7. Reporting Bugs: Report identified bugs to the development team in a clear and concise manner. Provide detailed information, including steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results, to facilitate efficient debugging and resolution.
  8. Test Cases for Various Testing Processes: Develop and execute test cases for different types of testing processes, including functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing. Ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices.
  9. Prepare Test Reports: Generate accurate and detailed test reports summarizing test execution results, including the status of test cases, defects found, and overall product quality. Provide insights and recommendations based on test outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 0-6 months of experience in manual testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of web and mobile application development.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools and test management systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • ISTQB certification (preferred, but not mandatory).
