Position: Manual Tester ( Freshers )

Location: Mumbai

Position Overview: AlfaLabs Technologies, a leading software development company based in Mumbai, is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Manual Tester. As a Manual Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresher to kickstart their career in software testing and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Test Planning: Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
2. Test Execution: Execute manual tests to identify defects and ensure that software applications meet quality standards. This includes performing functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
3. Defect Reporting: Clearly document and report defects using appropriate bug tracking tools. Provide detailed information to assist developers in understanding and resolving issues.
4. Test Documentation: Create and maintain test artifacts such as test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports to ensure traceability and consistency.
5. Test Environment Setup: Assist in setting up and configuring test environments and test data to simulate real-world scenarios.
6. Test Strategy Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of the overall testing strategy and processes by providing suggestions and implementing best practices.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure effective communication and smooth project delivery.
8. Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, including peer reviews and walkthroughs, to maintain and enhance the overall quality of the software.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing concepts.
3. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot issues.
4. Attention to detail and the ability to meticulously follow test plans and specifications.
5. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate test results and collaborate with team members.
6. Basic knowledge of programming languages, such as Java or C++, is preferred but not mandatory.
7. Familiarity with bug tracking tools, such as JIRA, and test management tools, such as TestRail, is a plus.
8. Enthusiasm and willingness to learn new technologies and testing methodologies.

• This is a full-time position based in Mumbai. Mumbai-based candidates will be given preference.
