Position: Senior SDET (Automation Testing, JavaScript Programming, UI/Mobile Automation)

Location: Bangalore

UnifyTech, a leading technology solutions company, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with expertise in Automation Testing, JavaScript programming, and UI/Mobile Automation. This is an excellent opportunity to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of innovative solutions using various JavaScript automation frameworks such as Protractor, Cypress, WDIO, NightwatchJS, Mocha, Chai, or Playwright. The role is based in Bangalore, with the option to work remotely.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop automated test suites and scripts using JavaScript programming and the chosen automation framework (Protractor, Cypress, WDIO, NightwatchJS, Mocha, Chai, Playwright, etc.).
2. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
3. Conduct UI/Mobile automation testing to validate the functionality, usability, and responsiveness of web and mobile applications.
4. Create, execute, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data to ensure efficient and effective test coverage.
5. Participate in the software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment phases.
6. Perform root cause analysis of defects, identify trends, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues and improve software quality.
7. Collaborate with the QA team to define and implement test strategies, test plans, and test frameworks.
8. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to automation testing and JavaScript frameworks, and incorporate them into the testing process.
9. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.
10. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 4 to 8 years of experience as a Senior SDET or in a similar role.
2. Strong experience in Automation Testing, JavaScript programming, and UI/Mobile Automation.
3. Proficiency in at least one JavaScript automation framework, such as Protractor, Cypress, WDIO, NightwatchJS, Mocha, Chai, or Playwright.
4. Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
5. Experience with UI/Mobile automation testing, ensuring compatibility, functionality, and responsiveness across web and mobile applications.
6. Strong programming skills in JavaScript, with a good understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
7. Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN) and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, etc.).
8. Ability to create, execute, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data.
9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
10. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
