Position: QA Automation Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement comprehensive automated test suites and scripts using Selenium or Cypress, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.
2. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand application requirements and functionality.
3. Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and testing infrastructure to support ongoing testing efforts.
4. Conduct API testing to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of the software applications.
5. Perform root cause analysis of defects, identify trends, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues and improve software quality.
6. Collaborate with the QA team to define and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
7. Perform manual testing as needed to ensure comprehensive test coverage and uncover edge cases.
8. Continuously enhance and improve the automation testing process and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
9. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to QA automation, and apply them to enhance the testing process.
10. Maintain documentation related to test cases, test results, and defects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in the field of QA automation.
2. Hands-on experience in Selenium or Cypress for automation testing.
3. Strong hands-on experience in at least one testing framework.
4. Experience in API testing, including knowledge of RESTful APIs and tools like Postman.
5. Good understanding of the applications you have worked on and their underlying technologies.
6. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or JavaScript for developing automated test scripts.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
8. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
10. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
