Position: WLAN/Wifi Tester

Locations: Chennai, Bangalore

Cientra, a leading technology company specializing in wireless networking solutions, is currently seeking a skilled WLAN/Wifi Tester to join our team in either Chennai or Bangalore. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with 1 to 6 years of experience in WLAN testing, including knowledge of IEEE802.11 standards and protocols, to contribute to our projects and ensure the quality and performance of our wireless networking solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct WLAN/Wifi testing activities to ensure the functionality, performance, and certification of wireless networking products.
• Utilize your expertise in WLAN IEEE802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards and protocols to design and execute test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform functional, performance, IOT, and certification tests on WLAN products.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of WLAN protocols and layers, including Layer 1, 2, and 3.
• Analyze and interpret test results, identify issues, and work closely with the development team to resolve them.
• Conduct independent project handling with analytical ability, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality test results.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in WLAN technology and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system engineers, and project managers, to understand project requirements and ensure effective test coverage.
• Provide accurate and detailed test reports, including test execution status and identified issues.
• Participate in test planning and test strategy discussions, contributing your knowledge and expertise to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Maintain test environments and test setups, ensuring their availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with other team members and provide support in resolving complex technical issues.

Requirements:

• 1-6 years of experience in WLAN testing.
• Strong experience in WLAN IEEE802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax test methodologies and protocols.
• Knowledge of Ethernet and wired networking is an added advantage.
• Experience in independent project handling with analytical ability.
• Proficiency in functional, performance, IOT, and certification WLAN tests.
• Sound theoretical and practical knowledge of WLAN protocols and layers.
• Familiarity with Layer 1, 2, and 3 of WLAN.
• Knowledge of WPA2/WPA3, MU-MIMO, OFDMA, Beamforming, Roaming, and other WLAN technologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements and deadlines.
