Position: Test Lead

Location: Coimbatore (Candidates from South India, including Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, can also apply)

Notice Period: Immediate to 30 days

OptimHire, a leading IT solutions provider, is seeking a skilled and experienced Test Lead to join our team in Coimbatore. We are looking for someone with a strong background in manual and automation testing, along with expertise in Node.js and React.js. Experience with SAAS platforms will be an added advantage. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with 5+ years of experience in software testing, with the ability to lead and manage testing activities effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the testing team, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of projects.
• Plan, design, and execute manual and automation testing strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
• Develop and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data to cover all possible scenarios.
• Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to identify and report defects and issues.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure effective communication and understanding of project requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring test coverage aligns with business needs.
• Mentor and train team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their testing skills and knowledge.
• Perform code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Implement and maintain automation frameworks using Node.js and React.js, reducing manual effort and improving efficiency.
• Monitor and track testing progress, providing regular status updates to the project manager and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test scripts, and test reports.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, identifying areas for automation and optimization.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to testing and automation.
• Conduct root cause analysis for identified defects and work with the development team to resolve them.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of software applications.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on manual and automation testing.
• Proficiency in manual testing techniques and methodologies, including test case design, execution, and defect management.
• Strong experience in automation testing using Node.js and React.js, developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with SAAS platforms, understanding their architecture and testing requirements.
• Knowledge of testing RESTful APIs and web services using tools like Postman or similar.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum, and experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex testing challenges.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide and motivate team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
• Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
