Position: Test Engineer
Location: Hyderabad
OSI Systems, a leading global provider of specialized electronic systems and components, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Test Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad. As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software and hardware products through comprehensive testing and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Set up the test environment to facilitate efficient and accurate testing processes.
- Develop high-quality test cases based on requirements/user stories to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Identify and document regression test cases to ensure proper regression testing during software releases.
- Develop performance test cases using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Execute assigned test runs and accurately update results in the Test Case management tool.
- Enter detailed defect information into the Defect Tracking Tool, ensuring proper documentation and tracking of issues.
- Assist developers in reproducing complex or rare issues to facilitate effective debugging and resolution.
- Ensure proper traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects, maintaining a clear link throughout the testing process.
- Complete assigned tasks within defined timelines and in adherence to the established processes.
- Contribute to test case design, leveraging knowledge of UML and the ability to develop test cases based on use cases.
- Provide regular status reports on testing activities to keep stakeholders informed.
- Continually update technical knowledge and skills through in-house and/or external training, reading manuals, and exploring new applications.
- Handle complex test automation and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of software configuration management tools and defect tracking tools.

- Report any quality problems or defects to managers or senior management for appropriate corrective action.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of test environment setup and configuration.
- Proficiency in developing high-quality test cases based on requirements or user stories.
- Familiarity with regression testing and the ability to identify relevant test cases.
- Experience in developing and executing performance test cases using appropriate tools.
- Familiarity with test case management and defect tracking tools.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle complex issues.
- Good understanding of UML and the ability to develop test cases based on use cases.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide regular status reports.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Knowledge of software configuration management tools and defect tracking tools.
- Demonstrated integrity, innovation, accountability, and teamwork.
