Position: Senior QA Engineer

Job Summary: Tatagroup of Industry is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our team in Kolkata. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web and mobile applications. You will be responsible for developing, creating, prioritizing, and organizing test cases, as well as writing detailed test cases and bug reports. Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) is essential. Experience in automation using Selenium, Java, API, Cucumber, SOAPUI, and RestAssured is required. Responsibilities:

• Develop, create, prioritize, and organize test cases into logical suites for the execution of web and mobile applications.
• Write detailed test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage of application functionality.
• Generate clear and concise bug reports, including all necessary information for developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Utilize defect tracking systems and test management tools to effectively track and manage test cases and defects throughout the testing process.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), adhering to established processes and best practices.
• Conduct automation testing using Selenium, Java, API, Cucumber, SOAPUI, and RestAssured, ensuring the development of robust and reliable automated test scripts.
• Possess experience in working with database queries, which is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools, preferably Git (GitHub, GitLab, etc.), and the feature branch workflow.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure successful delivery of high-quality software products.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies and tools, incorporating them into the testing process as appropriate.
• Be flexible in terms of work mode, with the ability to work in a hybrid or work-from-office (WFO) environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong experience in developing, creating, prioritizing, and organizing test cases for web and mobile applications.
• Excellent skills in writing detailed test cases and clear and concise bug reports.
• Familiarity with defect tracking systems and test management tools.
• Deep knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Proficiency in automation testing using Selenium, Java, API, Cucumber, SOAPUI, and RestAssured.
• Experience in working with database queries is an added advantage.
