Position: Software Test Engineer (Manual Testing)

Job Summary: Zensar Technologies is seeking both freshers and experienced professionals to join our team as Software Test Engineers. As a Manual Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software applications through rigorous manual testing processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of our products while gaining valuable experience in the field of software testing.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct requirement analysis and review project documentation to gain a clear understanding of software functionality and testing requirements.
• Collaborate with the development team and stakeholders to define test objectives, strategies, and test plans.
• Create and execute manual test cases and test scripts to verify software functionality, identify defects, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Perform various types of testing, including functional testing, regression testing, system testing, and integration testing.
• Identify and document software defects and issues using defect tracking tools, and work closely with the development team to resolve them.
• Conduct thorough test data preparation and test environment setup to ensure accurate and efficient testing processes.
• Participate in test case reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve test coverage and quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective communication and resolution of issues.
• Provide regular updates on testing progress, test results, and any potential risks or concerns to project stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in manual testing methodologies.

Required Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and logically.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing principles.
• Proficiency in requirement analysis, test case preparation, and test script execution.
• Experience in manual testing techniques, methodologies, and best practices.
• Familiarity with defect reporting and tracking tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Prior experience in automated testing or knowledge of any automation testing tools is a plus.
