Position: Senior Manual Testing Engineer

Location: Hyderabad, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Gurgaon

Responsibilities:

• Perform manual testing activities to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
• Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
• Conduct functional testing to verify that the software meets the intended functional requirements.
• Strong proficiency in API testing using Postman, including testing RESTful APIs and verifying data integrity.
• Conduct database testing using SQL queries to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders, to understand requirements and project objectives.
• Identify, track, and document software defects, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
• Provide timely and accurate test reports, including test coverage, defect status, and overall project quality.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on architectural and design decisions.
• Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging trends, and advancements in manual testing methodologies and tools.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience as a Manual Testing Engineer, with expertise in manual testing and functional testing.
• Strong proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman, including testing RESTful APIs and validating data.
• Extensive experience in database testing using SQL queries, including data verification and validation.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
• Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• ISTQB certification or other relevant certifications will be a plus.
