Position: Quality Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Job Description: As a Quality Engineer at Ecolab, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across our product portfolio. You will be responsible for driving quality initiatives, performing quality assurance activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our quality management system. Your expertise in quality engineering methodologies and your ability to drive continuous improvement will contribute to the success of our products and services.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement quality plans, quality control processes, and quality management systems.
  2. Perform risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure product quality and reliability.
  3. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conforming products or processes.
  4. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing quality data, identifying trends, and implementing preventive measures.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, and supply chain, to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  6. Participate in design and process reviews to ensure product quality is considered at all stages of the product lifecycle.
  7. Lead or support product validation and verification activities, including test plan development, execution, and documentation.
  8. Develop and maintain quality metrics to monitor product quality and provide insights for process improvement.
  9. Conduct internal and supplier audits to assess compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  10. Collaborate with customers and external stakeholders to address quality-related concerns and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  11. Stay updated with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in quality engineering.
  12. Train and mentor team members on quality assurance principles and practices.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in quality engineering or a related field.
  2. Strong understanding of quality engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  3. Experience in implementing and maintaining quality management systems, such as ISO 9001.
  4. Familiarity with quality tools and techniques, including statistical process control, failure mode and effects analysis, and root cause analysis.
  5. Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and quality standards.
  6. Experience in conducting internal and supplier audits.
  7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Strong attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
  11. Proficiency in using quality-related software tools and applications.
