Position: Quality Engineer
Location: Hyderabad, India
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain frontend, API, and mobile (iOS and Android) automation frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
- Utilize Python, JavaScript scripting, and user-level test automation to create, execute, and maintain scripts and tools for various testing frameworks.
- Collaborate with software development teams to develop, test, deploy, and report on product performance, quality, security, and scalability.
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, test planning, test case development, test execution, and defect management.
- Conduct automated testing using tools like Selenium and Appium for Android and iOS platforms.
- Apply Agile testing methodologies and best practices to ensure efficient and effective testing processes.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams and utilize integration tools to streamline testing and deployment processes.
- Continuously seek improvements in the quality assurance processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in quality assurance and automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software products.
- Proactively learn new tools and technologies with minimal guidance and apply them to enhance the testing process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- 2-6 years of professional experience in quality assurance and/or application development.
- Strong experience in frontend, API, and mobile (iOS and Android) automation framework development.
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript scripting for test automation.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools like Selenium and Appium for Android and iOS platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile testing methodologies and best practices.
- Proven ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies with minimal guidance.
- Strong ability to create, execute, and maintain scripts and tools for various testing frameworks.
- Desire to interact with different software development teams and collaborate effectively.
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement in quality assurance processes.
- Experience working with DevOps and integration tools.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment tools like Jenkins.
