Position: Manual API Tester

Location: Mumbai (Navi Mumbai), India

Tionix, a reputable technology company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Manual API Tester to join our team in Mumbai. If you have 2-8 years of experience and possess strong skills in database, SQL, API testing with Postman experience, and familiarity with the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) process, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to our success and make a significant impact in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct manual testing of APIs to ensure their functionality, reliability, and security.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test cases and test scripts based on project requirements.
• Utilize tools such as Postman for API testing and verification.
• Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and test accordingly.
• Identify, report, and track defects and issues using appropriate bug tracking tools.
• Work closely with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.
• Perform database testing and execute SQL queries to verify data integrity and accuracy.
• Follow the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) process and adhere to established quality assurance standards.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and prioritization activities to ensure efficient and effective testing processes.
• Communicate and collaborate with project stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress and raise concerns, if any.
• Continuously learn and stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to API testing and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with team members to share knowledge, insights, and best practices to improve the overall testing process.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of testing methodologies, frameworks, and tools for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
• 2-8 years of experience in manual API testing.
• Strong knowledge and experience in database testing, including SQL queries and data validation.
• Proficiency in API testing with tools such as Postman.
• Familiarity with the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) process and best practices.
• Solid understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve defects and issues.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively to meet project deadlines.
