Position: QA Tester

Job Summary: As a QA Tester at Talent Toppers, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products. You will be responsible for analyzing business acceptance test scenarios, writing test cases, performing functional testing, coordinating with onsite and offshore teams for defect resolution, and executing business acceptance tests. Your attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams will contribute to the success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business acceptance test scenarios derived from requirements and translate them into comprehensive test cases.
  • Develop, document, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure test coverage.
  • Execute functional and non-functional tests to identify software defects and ensure product quality.
  • Collaborate with development, business analysis, and quality assurance teams to understand system requirements and identify potential areas of improvement.
  • Coordinate with onsite and offshore teams to prioritize, track, and resolve defects.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using a defect tracking system and ensure their timely resolution.
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings, project meetings, and defect review meetings to provide updates on testing progress and issue resolution.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure that software changes and enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.
  • Generate and analyze test reports, including defect metrics, test coverage, and test execution progress.
  • Stay updated with the latest testing tools, techniques, and methodologies to continuously improve the QA process.
  • Collaborate with team members to establish and maintain quality standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the overall improvement of software quality by providing feedback and suggestions for process enhancements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Proficiency in analyzing requirements, writing test cases, and executing functional tests.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking systems and experience in defect management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
  • Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are desirable but not mandatory.
