Position: QA Engineer

VService IT Solutions, a leading IT solutions provider, is seeking talented and experienced QA Engineers to join our team. We are looking for candidates with a strong background in ETL & BI Testing. This is an immediate hiring opportunity, and the position is open to candidates from any location.

Job Description: As a QA Engineer at VService IT Solutions, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our ETL and BI systems. Your primary responsibilities will include testing BI reports, validating data sources and ETL objects, performing root cause analysis, and executing regression testing. You will also be responsible for validating new developments, changes, and issue fixes, and providing sign-off for these deliverables. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to automate functional testing using BDD frameworks and contribute to performance testing efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Test BI reports and validate data sources and ETL objects.
• Perform root cause analysis for data discrepancies and issues.
• Conduct sanity checks and regression testing to ensure system stability.
• Provide sign-off for new developments, changes, and issue fixes.
• Automate functional testing using BDD frameworks.
• Write analytical and complex SQL queries to perform data quality, completeness, and validation checks.
• Validate Tableau dashboards for accuracy and performance.
• Compare data sources and perform root cause analysis for any discrepancies.
• Utilize scripting languages (preferably Python) to enhance testing capabilities.
• Utilize tools like Query Surge and JMeter for functional, performance, and regression testing.
• Perform both manual and automation testing activities.
• Follow STLC and bug tracking lifecycles.
• Work in an Agile environment and collaborate effectively with team members and business teams across multiple locations.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 5-8 years of QA experience with a strong focus on ETL and BI report testing.
• Good experience in validating Tableau dashboards.
• Proficiency in writing analytical and complex SQL queries for data quality and validation.
• Experience in data source comparison and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of functional testing automation using BDD frameworks.
• Familiarity with scripting languages, with a preference for Python.
• Experience with tools like Query Surge and JMeter for functional, performance, and regression testing.
• Solid understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and bug tracking processes.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with teams and stakeholders.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
