Role Overview: As a QA Engineer at SeniorLife’s Bangalore location, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our innovative software solutions. You will collaborate closely with our development and product teams, contributing to the creation of software that has a profound impact on the well-being of seniors. - Develop comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases to ensure the quality of software products.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities to meet project timelines.
- Identify, document, and track bugs through detailed bug reports, ensuring accurate communication across teams.
- Conduct thorough Regression testing and Sanity testing after bug resolution to verify software stability.
- Define and implement testing processes for both new and existing products to meet client requirements and expectations.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, such as developers and product managers, to understand system requirements and design effective testing strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate debugging process outcomes, ensuring timely bug fixes.
- Track quality assurance metrics, including defect densities and open defect counts, to provide insights into product quality.
- Stay updated with emerging testing tools and innovative test strategies to continuously improve our QA processes.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in QA and software testing roles.
- Minimum educational qualification: BE/B.Tech or equivalent.
- Proficiency in manual testing for Android and iOS platforms.
- Experience in Performance and security testing to ensure software robustness.
- Expertise in cross-browser testing, website testing, and I18 (internationalization) testing.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, TFS, ALM, or similar.
- Solid understanding of testing concepts including Traceability Matrix, Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and proficiency in Excel for test documentation.
- Knowledge of black box testing methodologies and API testing.
- Exceptional communication skills and effective problem-solving abilities are crucial.
- Advantageous to be familiar with scripting languages for test automation.
- Strong affinity for new-age technology concepts and a passion for staying updated with industry trends.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and their application in the QA process.
- Familiarity with performance testing using tools like JMeter.
