Position: QA Engineer
Location: Bangalore, India
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand project requirements and translate them into comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Execute manual testing activities to ensure the functionality, usability, performance, and security of software applications.
- Conduct functional testing to verify that software meets specified requirements and performs as expected.
- Perform API testing to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data exchange between different software components.
- Conduct web application testing to validate the user interface, responsiveness, and compatibility across different browsers and devices.
- Execute UI testing to verify the visual elements, layouts, and interactions of the software application.
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues, ensuring their proper resolution and closure.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.
- Conduct regression testing to validate the impact of changes and updates on existing functionalities.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and prioritization activities to ensure efficient testing processes.
- Proactively contribute to the development and enhancement of testing methodologies, frameworks, and tools to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Continuously stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to software quality assurance.
- Share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned with team members to promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Adhere to established quality assurance processes, standards, and timelines to deliver high-quality testing deliverables.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer, with 2-5 years of experience in manual testing, functional testing, API testing, web application testing, and UI testing.
- Strong knowledge of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements.
- Experience in executing functional, regression, and UI testing.
- Familiarity with API testing tools and frameworks.
- Solid understanding of web application testing principles, including cross-browser compatibility and responsive design.
- Experience in identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using bug tracking tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA) is a plus.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.
