Role and Responsibilities:

As a QA Engineer at UST, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting manual testing by writing test cases and test plans to validate the functionality and performance of software applications.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks using Selenium Java, WebDriver, and TestNG.
  • Performing API testing using tools such as Postman, Rest, and Swagger to ensure the accuracy and integrity of APIs.
  • Experience in working with CICD pipeline tools such as Azure DevOps or CircleCI to enable continuous integration and delivery of software.
  • Proficiency in SQL to query databases and perform data validation during testing.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand project requirements and ensure effective testing.
  • Identifying and documenting defects and issues in a clear and concise manner, following established processes and tools.
  • Experience in Azure TFS or TestRail for test management and tracking test cases.
  • Familiarity with tools like Datadog, Charles, and Inspect for monitoring, debugging, and inspecting applications.
  • Knowledge in Sauce Labs for cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
  • Collaborating with team members to continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques related to QA and test automation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2.5-4 years of experience in manual testing, writing test cases, and test plans.
  • Strong experience in test automation using Selenium Java, WebDriver, and TestNG.
  • Proficient in API testing using tools like Postman, Rest, and Swagger.
  • Hands-on experience with CICD pipeline tools like Azure DevOps or CircleCI.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for database querying and data validation.
  • Experience in test management tools like Azure TFS or TestRail is a plus.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and debugging tools like Datadog, Charles, and Inspect.
  • Knowledge of Sauce Labs for cross-browser and cross-platform testing is desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and document defects effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
