Position: QA Engineer

Location: Bangalore/Hyderabad/Noida

Job Summary: As a QA Engineer at Coforge, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications and solutions. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive professional with a strong background in functional testing and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and technical requirements.
• Execute test cases and document test results, identifying and documenting any defects or issues encountered during testing.
• Collaborate with software development teams to ensure that defects are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
• Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand application requirements and provide input on testability and quality aspects.
• Perform regression testing to ensure that software changes and enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.
• Conduct root cause analysis of defects to identify underlying issues and contribute to process improvements.
• Participate in test strategy and test planning activities, providing input on test coverage, automation, and overall testing approach.
• Design and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing, and actively contribute to enhancing the QA processes and methodologies within the organization.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical expertise and support as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a QA Engineer, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in functional testing.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience in designing and executing test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, or JavaScript).
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, or JUnit).
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and identify root causes of defects.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
