Position: QA Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Job Description:
As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. Your responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing your 5+ years of relevant experience in QA to effectively plan and execute testing activities.
- Applying your programming/scripting expertise, with a strong emphasis on Python or Java, to develop and maintain automated test scripts.
- Demonstrating proficiency in the Appium Framework to perform mobile application testing across different platforms.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, identify test scenarios, and create test plans.
- Executing both manual and automated test cases, documenting test results, and reporting any defects or issues.
- Participating in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to release, to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
- Conducting root cause analysis of defects and working closely with the development team to resolve them.
- Identifying areas for process improvement and contributing to the enhancement of testing methodologies and best practices.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in QA methodologies and tools.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in QA, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software applications.
- Strong programming and scripting skills, with expertise in Python or Java.
- Experience working with the Appium Framework for mobile application testing.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
- Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
