Position: Manual Test Engineer

Salary: 2.5 – 4.75 Lacs P.A.

Location: Noida, Uttar Pradesh

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Manual Test Engineer at Netcomm Labs, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Working closely with our development and quality assurance teams, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and documenting test cases to identify and report software defects. Your attention to detail and dedication to delivering flawless products will be vital in achieving our mission to provide cutting-edge solutions to our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Test Planning and Design: Collaborate with the development and product teams to understand software requirements and design comprehensive test plans and test cases that cover all aspects of the application functionality.
  2. Test Execution: Conduct manual testing of software applications to identify defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues. Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure the software meets the specified requirements.
  3. Defect Identification and Reporting: Accurately document and report software defects using appropriate bug tracking tools. Provide detailed steps to reproduce issues and collaborate with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  4. Test Documentation: Maintain clear and concise test documentation, including test scenarios, test data, and test results, to facilitate effective communication and knowledge sharing within the team.
  5. Quality Assurance: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the QA process by suggesting process enhancements, test methodologies, and best practices.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand project requirements and effectively contribute to the overall project success.
  7. Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to verify that fixed defects and new enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.
  8. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support: Assist in UAT activities by collaborating with clients and stakeholders to ensure the software meets their expectations and requirements.
  9. Test Environment Setup: Help set up and maintain test environments to simulate real-world scenarios and facilitate accurate testing.
  10. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, testing tools, and methodologies to enhance your skills and contribute to the team’s growth.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Proven experience as a Manual Test Engineer or a similar role, with 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Solid understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with manual testing tools and bug tracking systems.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and databases to validate data integrity during testing.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to identify and document software defects accurately.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • ISTQB certification (optional) is a plus.
