Position: National Instruments TestStand Professional Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement automated test systems using National Instruments TestStand software.
• Design and configure test sequences, including test steps, modules, and user interfaces.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand testing requirements and develop effective testing strategies.
• Integrate hardware and software components for instrument control and data acquisition.
• Write and maintain test scripts using scripting languages such as Python, VBScript, or similar.
• Conduct test execution, troubleshooting, and analysis to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
• Identify and resolve issues related to test system functionality, performance, and compatibility.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including test plans, test specifications, and test reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of testing milestones and deliverables.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in test automation methodologies and tools.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years to a maximum of 10 years of experience in National Instruments TestStand software.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing automated test systems using TestStand.
• In-depth knowledge of test automation principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Familiarity with LabVIEW programming is highly desirable.
• Experience with hardware and software integration, including instrument control and data acquisition.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, VBScript, or similar.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze and interpret test data.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate and work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
