Position: Manual Test Engineer

Job Description: As a Manual Test Engineer at Xogene, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for designing and executing manual test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with the development team to ensure timely resolution. Your expertise in manual testing methodologies and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute manual test cases to validate software functionality, usability, and performance.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and issues, ensuring their timely resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to communicate and reproduce issues, and verify fixes.
  • Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure the stability of software releases.
  • Participate in the review and analysis of software requirements and specifications to provide input on testability.
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Generate and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of high-quality software products.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging trends, and new tools related to manual testing.
  • Provide suggestions and recommendations to enhance the overall quality of our software products.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure timely and accurate completion.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Manual Test Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in designing and executing manual test cases to validate software functionality.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers and project managers.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to testing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry (preferred, but not mandatory).
