Position: Lead Test Engineer

Cropdata Technology Ltd, a leading agricultural technology company, is currently seeking an experienced Lead Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role requires a strong background in software testing, test automation, and team leadership. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software solutions and driving the testing efforts for our innovative agricultural technology products.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the testing activities for our software products, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand project requirements and define test strategies.
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate software functionality and performance.
  • Identify and prioritize test cases based on risk analysis and business impact.
  • Implement and maintain test automation frameworks, tools, and scripts to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
  • Mentor and guide a team of test engineers, providing technical expertise and support in test planning, execution, and defect management.
  • Conduct regular test status meetings, provide test reports, and communicate testing progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with development teams to investigate and resolve software defects, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining a high-quality product.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry best practices, and trends in software testing, and proactively implement relevant improvements.
  • Continuously assess and enhance the testing process, tools, and methodologies to improve overall testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the testing team and across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Test Engineer, with at least 6 to 12 years of experience in software testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Solid experience in test planning, test case design, and execution.
  • Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience in scripting and executing automated tests.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team of test engineers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues.
  • Good understanding of Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
