Position: Junior Performance Test Engineer
Location: Noida
GlobalLogic, a leading software development and quality assurance company, is currently hiring for the position of Junior Performance Test Engineer at our Noida location. Responsibilities:
- Perform Performance Testing: Utilize open-source performance testing tools to conduct performance testing on various software applications and systems. Design and execute test cases to evaluate system performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Understand Software Testing and Release Processes: Demonstrate a solid understanding of software testing principles and practices. Collaborate with development teams to ensure that performance testing is integrated into the software release cycle effectively.
- Agile Methodology: Apply your experience with Agile methodology to perform performance testing within Agile development sprints. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute performance testing activities in an Agile environment.
- Functional Testing: Contribute to functional testing efforts by conducting manual and automated functional tests. Ensure that software meets functional requirements and is of high quality.
- Quality Assurance: Demonstrate excellent knowledge of quality theory, concepts, tools, and methodologies. Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes and standards throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Testing Methodologies and Automation: Utilize your thorough understanding of testing methodologies, including test automation, to design and implement effective performance testing strategies. Leverage source control technologies, such as GIT, to manage test scripts and artifacts.
- Defect Management: Use defect management software and procedures to track and report software defects. Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
- Software Development Life Cycles: Apply your knowledge of software development life cycles to ensure that performance testing activities are aligned with project milestones and timelines.
- Cloud Platform and Microservice Architecture: Possess knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS and GCP, as well as containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Understand microservice architecture and its implications for performance testing.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in performance testing or related roles.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with open-source performance testing tools.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and experience working in Agile development environments.
- Experience in manual and automated functional testing.
- Solid understanding of quality assurance principles, concepts, tools, and methodologies.
- Proficiency in source control technologies, such as GIT.
- Familiarity with defect management software and procedures.
- Knowledge of software development life cycles.
- Familiarity with deployment tools like Jenkins and Harness is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS and GCP, as well as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Good knowledge of microservice architecture.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
