Position: Jr. Test Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Perform manual testing of software applications to ensure their functionality, usability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand requirements and define testing objectives.
• Develop and execute test cases and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
• Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing, to identify and report defects and issues.
• Document test results, defects, and testing activities using appropriate tools and methodologies.
• Work closely with the development team to reproduce and resolve reported defects.
• Participate in test case reviews, walkthroughs, and other team meetings to ensure alignment and adherence to quality standards.
• Provide regular status updates on testing progress and communicate any potential risks or challenges to the project team.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, suggesting and implementing best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in manual testing techniques.

Required Candidate Profile:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Manual Testing.
• Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies, test case development, and defect tracking.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC) processes.
• Familiarity with various types of testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Proficiency in using defect tracking and test management tools, such as JIRA or TestRail.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot software defects.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate testing results and issues.
