Key Responsibilities:

1. ETL Testing: Conduct end-to-end testing of ETL processes to validate data accuracy and integrity.
2. SQL Expertise: Create and execute SQL queries to verify data transformations and maintain data consistency.
3. Unix Proficiency: Utilize Unix commands and scripting for data validation and troubleshooting tasks.
4. Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and business logic.
5. Test Execution: Execute test cases, meticulously document test results, and promptly identify and report defects or issues.
6. Data Validation: Verify data completeness, correctness, and consistency across diverse data sources and targets.
7. Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that changes or enhancements to ETL processes do not introduce defects.
8. Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to evaluate the efficiency and scalability of ETL processes.
9. Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and address issues.
10. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and defects.
11. Troubleshooting: Investigate and troubleshoot data-related issues and proactively implement measures to prevent future problems.
12. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in ETL testing, actively contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an ETL Tester with 4-7 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts and methodologies.
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and testing purposes.
• Hands-on experience with Unix commands and scripting.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and associated tools.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proactive and self-motivated.
• Optional: ISTQB certification would be a valuable asset.
