Position: Senior QA Manual + Automation (Hybrid) Experience: 6+ years
Location: Pune
Responsibilities:
As a Senior QA Manual + Automation (Hybrid) professional, your key responsibilities will include:
- Manual Testing:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual test cases to validate application functionality.
- Create detailed and well-structured test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure high-quality software releases.
- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate defect tracking tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve issues.
- Automation Testing:
- Utilize your automation testing expertise to design and develop automated test scripts.
- Select appropriate automation tools and frameworks based on project requirements.
- Execute automated test scripts and analyze results to identify defects and performance issues.
- Continuously enhance and maintain the automation framework for improved efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to integrate automation into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Test Planning and Strategy:
- Participate in project planning and requirement analysis to define test objectives and scope.
- Contribute to test strategy development, including test coverage and risk assessment.
- Provide effort estimates and timelines for testing activities.
- Identify test data requirements and coordinate with the team for test data setup.
- Defect Management:
- Track and manage defects throughout the defect lifecycle using defect tracking tools.
- Perform root cause analysis of defects and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure the stability of the software.
- Test Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive test artifacts, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Ensure test documentation is up to date and aligned with project requirements.
- Contribute to the improvement of test documentation templates and processes.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers.
- Communicate test progress, results, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Participate in project meetings and provide input on quality assurance-related matters.
- Continuous Learning and Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in quality assurance and test automation.
- Continuously enhance your skills and knowledge in manual and automation testing techniques.
- Share knowledge and best practices with the team to improve overall testing processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on both manual and automation testing.
- Strong experience in designing and executing manual test cases.
- Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG).
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test planning, and test execution.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
