Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to understand product requirements and user stories.
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for both web and mobile applications.
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of software products.
  • Conduct API testing to validate the functionality and data integrity of backend services and APIs.
  • Utilize automation testing tools, such as Selenium WebDriver and Playwright, to create automated test scripts for repetitive test cases and regression testing.
  • Execute manual test cases and analyze results to identify and report defects, issues, and risks in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues, and verify bug fixes through retesting.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
  • Proactively contribute to improving testing processes, methodologies, and best practices within the QA team.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements in testing tools, and emerging technologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline by automating test cases and integrating them into the deployment process.
  • Ensure test environments are set up and maintained properly, with required test data and configurations.
  • Provide test status reports and metrics to stakeholders, highlighting test coverage and defect trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 2 to 4 years as a QA Engineer in software testing, with expertise in both manual and automation testing.
  • Strong proficiency in automation testing tools like Selenium WebDriver and Playwright for web applications.
  • Hands-on experience in API testing using tools like Postman or similar API testing frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and the ability to integrate test cases into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git for code collaboration and version management.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Passion for quality assurance and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality software products.
  • ISTQB certification or any relevant testing certifications will be considered a plus.
