Position: Mobile Automation Engineer

Emtec Inc. is a leading global IT services and consulting company, and we are currently seeking a skilled Mobile Automation Engineer to join our team. As a Mobile Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of mobile and web applications through automation testing. Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for mobile and web applications using Swift for mobile automation and Java/Javascript (Cypress preferred) for desktop automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and product managers, to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and strategies.
• Perform mobile application testing, including functional, performance, security, and compatibility testing, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
• Identify and report defects, track their resolution, and verify fixes to ensure the highest level of software quality.
• Conduct root cause analysis for identified defects and work closely with development teams to facilitate timely resolution.
• Work with the QA team to establish and maintain test environments, test data, and test infrastructure for efficient and effective testing.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile application testing trends, tools, and technologies, and actively contribute to enhancing the automation testing framework.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in mobile and web automation testing.
• Strong understanding of mobile application testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in mobile automation using Swift and desktop automation using Java/Javascript (Cypress preferred).
• Hands-on experience with automation testing tools and frameworks such as Appium, Selenium, or similar.
• Sound knowledge of mobile platforms (iOS, Android) and their respective testing frameworks.
• Good understanding of mobile application architecture, API integrations, and backend services.
• Familiarity with version control systems, bug tracking tools, and test management tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Immediate joiners are preferred.
