Position: Automation Testing Engineer

Chimera Technologies Private Limited, a leading technology solutions provider, is currently seeking an experienced Automation Testing Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru. As an Automation Testing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the development and execution of automated test scripts. Responsibilities:
- Automation Test Script Development: Utilize your expertise in core Java and Selenium to develop robust and efficient automated test scripts. Design and implement automation frameworks to ensure effective test execution and maximum test coverage.
- Test Planning and Test Case Development: Collaborate with the development team and stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications. Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on these requirements. Ensure test cases cover all relevant aspects of the software’s functionality.
- Test Script Execution: Monitor the execution of automated test scripts, ensuring they run smoothly and without errors. Troubleshoot any issues or failures that arise during the testing process and provide timely resolutions.
- Defect Troubleshooting: Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve defects identified during the testing process. Provide detailed documentation of defects and work closely with the team to ensure their timely resolution.
- Test Result Reporting: Generate documentation and reports of the test results, including detailed information on test execution, test coverage, and defects identified. Communicate the results effectively to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clarity.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in automation testing. Continuously improve the testing processes, frameworks, and tools used, aiming for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in core Java and Selenium automation testing.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
- Solid understanding of automation frameworks and tools, with expertise in Selenium.
- Experience in developing and implementing test plans and test cases.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools and test management systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- ISTQB or any relevant certifications are a plus.
